BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team fell to Missouri, 4-1, Saturday afternoon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. Prior to the game, the Aggies (27-22, 10-16) honored their eight seniors in Matt Bergevin, Wyatt Henseler, Gavin Kash, Ryan Prager, Brad Rudis, Hayden Schott, Josh Stewart and Troy Wansing for all their contributions to the program. The Tigers (15-35, 2-24) struck first in the opening frame with a pair of runs courtesy of an RBI groundout and a two-out solo home run. In the eighth, a Texas A&M error helped Missouri to its third run of the afternoon, which came via a two-out RBI double. The Tigers stretched their lead to 4-0 in the ninth with an RBI double to right center. The Aggies threatened in the bottom half as they brought the tying run to the plate with two outs. A Missouri error allowed the Maroon & White to break through on the scoreboard as Henseler, who reached on a walk, crossed the plate. Despite bringing the winning run to the plate, a strikeout ended the Texas A&M threat as they fell 4-1. Starter Justin Lamkin was handed the loss after allowing two runs in three innings of work. In relief, Rudis delivered a season-high 4 1/3 scoreless frames to go along with a career-high seven strikeouts. Up Next The series finale is slated for Sunday at 1 p.m. at Blue Bell Park.
