Changes are coming to services offered in-flight with American Airlines.

Starting sometime this week, Wi-Fi tests will be available on three flights: between both airports in North Carolina, flights between Charlotte and Jacksonville International Airport in Florida, and between Miami International Airport and Chicago O’Hare International Airport.


This service comes as pressure mounts on carriers to offer Wi-Fi free of charge.


Right now, it is unclear whether American Airlines will expand complimentary Wi-Fi to the rest of its network.
