The resort won't require reservations for season pass holders but will limit the number of daily visitors. 

It's almost time to hit the slopes! Arapahoe Basin has joined several other Colorado ski areas in releasing operating plans for the 2020-2021 winter season. In an Instagram post on September 10, COO Alan Henceroth outlined their plan's most important details.

"We are looking forward to ski season," Hencroth said. "We have been working very closely with county, state, and federal governments, developing our operating plans for the year."

Arapahoe Basin plans to implement "skier visitation targets" each day, limiting the number of skiers and boarders. Henceroth said they plan to achieve this in a few ways: 

• Reservations will not be required for season pass holders, but the number of season passes sold will be limited.
• All lift tickets must be purchased in advance, and there is a limited number each day.
• Limited building capacity and physical distancing guidelines will be in place throughout the ski area. 

The ski area is planning a mid-October opening, weather permitting. Season passes are already available here.
