University counseling and mental health support available



Askew Student Life Center providing counselors, food, therapy dogs and more



The Askew Student Life Center is open and counselors are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We’ll have food, iced treats, therapy dogs, activities and games in the courtyard at 11 a.m. Reminder: you can pick up your belongings at the Student Services Building Room 203 until 5 p.m.

Apalachee Center offering 24-hour help



Apalachee Center in Tallahassee offers a 24/7 Mental Health Helpline: The Mobile Response Team (MRT), available any day, any time at 800-342-0774.

Trained counselors are ready to respond in person or over the phone to support individuals and groups experiencing emotional distress, grief, or a mental health crisis — or those who simply need someone to talk to. We are here and prepared to help our community.

Bond Community Health Center ready to help community members navigate grief and trauma



In the wake of recent events that have deeply impacted our community, Bond Community Health Center stands ready to support those who are navigating trauma, grief, or emotional distress. Our team offers trauma-informed care and counseling services to help individuals and families process and heal.

Bond is especially grateful for the swift and selfless actions of our local law enforcement, whose dedication continues to safeguard our community in times of crisis. We also want to recognize and lift up the exceptional expertise of our colleagues at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care, whose work on the front lines is nothing short of heroic.

Better Living Solutions offering group or personal counseling sessions



Better Living Solutions is offering three crisis counseling sessions at no cost to those affected by last week's tragic event.

The Tallahassee counseling and wellness organization is also offering immediate trauma-informed workshops, support groups, and counseling sessions for anyone affected by this crisis — including First Responders, School faculty, students, as well as fellow clinicians, and their families.
