The Arizona Cardinals have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Quez Watkins . Watkins was with the Steelers for the entire season on their practice squad, but never played in a game for the team. After the season, the Steelers did not re-sign him to a future’s contract.

The 2020 sixth-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles, Watkins spent his entire rookie contract with the team, racking up 1249 over those four seasons. He fell out of favor last season in Philadelphia, falling down the depth chart due to inconsistent play. The same thing occurred with Watkins throughout the summer.

Coming out of Souther Misssissippi, he ran a blazing 40-yard dash, clocking in at a 4.35 40 time. Yet, over the years in Philadelphia, he toyed with becoming a returner but never put it all together as a wide receiver, struggling with route running and drops.
