Redditor /u/itsgibby123 posted to the Arizona State University subreddit /r/ASU, asking, "Scuba Girl: anyone down to slide over the video?" The post gathered over 44 upvotes and is one of the earliest known mentions of the video video. On April 11th, at 11:12 AM, X user @skatteboner tweeted, "You must not be familiar with the scuba girl," in response to a post gauging the odds of which school the next "Viral Whore" might come from. The tweet gathered over 200 likes in three days. Around 1:08 PM on April 11th, 2025, X user @jimmy_balls123 posted the earliest known clip from the Scuba Girl video, showing a recording of someone phone screen, writing, "First #nikkicappoci now this shit? Gay son has never been more appealing. Just disgusting stuff on the bc this evening #scubagirl #ballsbomb" and gathering over 112,000 views and 650 likes in three days. At 2:53pm on April 11th, X user @voddysodas also posted clips from the Scuba Girl video, gathering over 270,000 views and 2,000 likes in three days. The first posts to link ASU student Ry DeSabato to the Scuba Girl video were made by X users @fuhitrah7 and @PostUpPoet on April 11th, at 2:23 PM and 2:24 PM respectively. The post by @fuhitrah7 showed DeSabato on Mount Rushmore alongside other victims of the Burnerverse harassment campaign, like
Mary Kate Cornett and
Nikki Capocci . The post by @PostUpPoet showed him direct messaging DeSabato on Instagram.

Several Twitter users began posting memes about the Scuba Girl video on April 11th, 2025, with X user @CommishDouche sharing a fight bracket pitting several women who were victimized by past Burnerverse harassment campaigns against each other, including
Mary Kate Cornett and
Nikki Capocci . The tweet gathered over 13,000 likes in three days. On April 11th, X user @ed_da_catholic posted a map showing the distance between Tempe Town and a Bikini Bean Barista location, writing, "Pretty wild to think that #goonicide and #scubagirl happened less than 10 minutes away from eachother #justthinking." The tweet referenced the
