WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Atmos Energy has donated a total of $10,000 to two local education-based organizations in their Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities Initiative.

Both Zavala Hispanic Cultural Initiative and Mi Café Con Leche received $5,000.

Atmos Energy said thanks to both programs, students receive tutoring to assist in bringing elementary students to reading level by 3rd grade, encourage the importance of education, offer summer programs like Road to College to strengthen academics and testing results, help students complete FAFSA forms and college applications, provide college scholarships, and help to find other scholarship opportunities for students.
