Good news for anyone traveling between Lone Tree and Aurora! The new Light Rail line from Lone Tree to Aurora will open at the end of February.

The opening date for the new Light Rail line from Lone Tree to Aurora has been released! RTD announced January 30 that the R Line will begin running on February 24th after months of testing. A problem with a circuit board delayed the line, which was supposed to open in late 2016. New Light Rail The R Line will connect passengers from the Lincoln Station in Lone Tree to the Peoria Station in Aurora. This will allow for connections to the A Line, which runs between Denver International Airport and Union Station. New Light Rail The new stations are mainly along I-25 and offer a public transit option to places like the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Both the A Line, which opened last April, and the B Line, which opened last July, have been plagued by glitches. These problems have delayed the opening of the G Line in Arvada, which will not open until the line to the airport is running properly. New Light Rail Authorities say that the system believed to be causing problems on the A and B Lines is not being used on the R Line, meaning it shouldn’t have any of the same problems. What do you think about this new line? Will you be taking advantage of it? Let us know down in the comments!
