Aurora Brewing Co. will hold its Land O’ Lagers beer festival on May 18, bringing together 17 breweries from across the Northeast and beyond at its Ledyard location. The event, which runs from noon to 8 p.m. at the brewery on 1897 Route 90, will showcase a variety of lagers, from traditional to innovative styles, focusing on quality and enjoyment rather than mere tasting.

The festival features a unique approach to beer enjoyment, with Aurora Brewing emphasizing the importance of savoring finely crafted brews served in appropriate glassware. Attendees will enjoy half and full pours from 28 draft lines, with breweries like Civil Society from Florida and Trillium from Boston among the participants.

Aside from lagers, the festival will offer other beer styles, including IPAs and mixed culture options. The event is also set to feature live music, a clambake, a barbecue, wood-fired pizzas from Aurora, and additional offerings from local food trucks, creating a festive atmosphere for attendees.
