Baltimore’s annual AniMore Anime Con kicks off January 19, and will provide three whole days of cosplay, games, Japanese culture, anime and more!
It’s been a while since the Baltimore and D.C. metro areas have hosted a comic convention. But now the wait is over! Baltimore’s AniMore Anime Con is set to go down January 19-21.
AniMore will be at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Baltimore. It's a celebration of anime, video games, cosplay, cartoons, comics and Japanese culture. Participate in cosplay, meet your favorite voice-actors and other famous guests, and gather with fellow fans and cosplayers who share the same love of all things anime.
Three-day passes for this year’s convention going for $40 are seriously worth every penny. Passes can be purchased on the

Con Guests and Celebrities
Like most comic and anime cons, plenty of celebrity guests will be onsite. Those who want autographs will have a chance to get their memorabilia signed by their favorite celebrity guests for free. You can view the full guest lineup

Aaron Rube

Weekend Activities
Celebrity guests won't be the only highlight of AniMore 2018! If you're eager to show off your costume making skills, then the cosplay costume contest will be a perfect fit. Or, are you more of a video game fan? Fear not. A video game and tabletop gaming area will be setup for attendees to enjoy and play, completely free of charge.
Dealer's Room
Make sure you bring your wallet because the Dealer’s Room will provide an excellent opportunity to purchase comics and anime stuff, most of which can be hard to find elsewhere. Since AniMore is a celebration of Japanese culture, patrons will also have the chance to buy everything from toys to trinkets to dolls and candy from Japan, as well as movies, posters, graphic novels, comics, masks and costume pieces.
Artist's Alley
Over a dozen artists will be displaying and selling their work. Expect to see all types of paintings, drawings, posters as well as authentic samurai swords and fake weaponry, which not only make the perfect decoration for your home but also give a little extra flair to your cosplay.
