New to the slopes or simply want a mild ride? Check out these awesome trails for beginner boarders and skiers!

Still establishing your snow-legs? No need to be ashamed! Not all of us can shred the hills like the pros or life-long mountain dwellers. In fear of being called a "gaper" or committing a serious slope faux pas, check out these great trails for a beginner!

Arapahoe Basin -- Wrangler run

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFajURpnnqU Wrangler is a green run that has plenty of mild twists and turns. Enjoy wide open spaces perfect for getting warmed up or taking a tumble without causing a serious slope traffic jam.

Aspen Snowmass -- Several Areas

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNKlSvkNA6U If you're visiting Aspen and want to take a few rides on the slopes, there are a few runs if you're a little more green to snow sports. Beginners can try their hand at the Meadows Learning Area to get used to the slopes. Buttermilk also offers Panda Peak as a mild run for newbies.

Crested Butte -- Several Areas

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leZ0zo5qmzE Possibly one of the best places for beginners, Crested Butte is home to several learning areas. Once you've gotten comfortable on the Beginner Area and Peachtree Lift, a natural progression would be to slide on over to the Red Lady Lift and Painter Boy Lift. A great run to try for beginners would be Houston, a long trail that is only slightly challenging and perfect for someone who has graduated past the bunny hills.

Eldora -- Bunnyfair

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTNTsmfUD4E A wide open green trail and has plenty of room for beginners to try their hand at skiing or boarding. Learn the ropes without the stress of those a bit more experienced flying past you.

Loveland Ski Area -- Take off & All Smiles

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKo3w0ij808 Take Off & All Smiles, aptly named trails for beginners who want an easy ride.

Granby Ranch -- Zig & Zag

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCGysIGDNos Granby Ranch has a ton of great runs for beginners, but the best for the new-new would be Zig & Zag. These two runs go from the Milestone beginner lift, and allow for plenty of wide-open space for newbies practicing parallel turns.

Winter Park -- Sorensen Park

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35Sm6LKbkYs Sorensen Park is a large area at the base of the mountain where adults and kiddos can learn the ropes and get their ski legs. Sorensen is Winter Park's learning area, so there is plenty of space to take some spills and learn the fundamentals. It's complete with conveyor lifts and a rope tow to help beginners learn how it feels to glide on snow. Pretty much every mountain you go on will have an area for beginners to get their feet wet ... or snowy in this instance. These are just some of our favorites!! Where is or was your favorite beginner trail on the Colorado slopes?? Tell us in the comments!
