Carnevil is set to begin October 13 and will run until November 5. The event promises to be truly spooky and will help to raise money for a good cause.
The legend of Merriweather Park is that it was home to carnivals and various circus acts. When Mr. Archibald Evil, the park's owner died, the park withered and turned rotten. Now, over 100 years later, the amusement park is back! And on Friday the thirteenth, Carnevil makes its grand debut.

Event organizers have been planning the inaugural Halloween festival for months, with the goal of providing "creepy fun." As a note, parents have been advised not to bring children under 10 due to its dark themes.

Carnevil will feature classic carnival games but with a Halloween twist, including an eyeball toss and basketball with severed heads. Expect to see lots of what you would see at a regular circus like fire swallowers and jugglers as well as live musical entertainment. Plus, there will be plenty of visual stimulation as several spooky characters will jump out and surprise festival goers. So, just a warning, make sure you stay vigilant. But on certain nights, Carnevil will be more kid-friendly.
