Beyoncé brings the "Formation Scholars" Scholarship Program to young women across America!

If you thought Beyoncé couldn't get any better, she just did.  In honor of the one-year anniversary of her hit album Lemonade, Beyoncé announced the start of her new scholarship program for young women studying creative arts, African-American studies, music, and literature. The four eligible awards for the 2017-2018 school year are meant to

Encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident”

The schools for the 2017-2018 school year that have been selected are Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Spelman College, and Parsons School of Design. As you can imagine, many are ecstatic. Through this program, Beyoncé is giving the opportunity to young women who are passionate about the arts a chance to receive the education they deserve. Lemonade is arguably Beyoncé's most "instrumentally dense" and "trend-forward production" that she has ever created. The album speaks to her female audience, so it makes sense to release the scholarship announcement on the one-year anniversary.
