BIGFORK — Mason Lewis drove in a pair of runs on a third inning double as Bigfork defeated Whitefish 9-2 in high school baseball Saturday. Lewis’ hit came during a six-run frame for the Vikings (13-4 overall, 13-2 in North games) and put Bigfork ahead 4-1. Cavin Wiest followed with an RBI single that scored Lewis. Wiest later came home on an error. Lewis also went the distance on the mound for Bigfork, allowing five hits and two earned runs. He fanned a pair of batters. Finn Ryan and Luke Dalen picked up the RBIs for Whitefish (11-5, 9-4). Bear Barker and Carter Godsey split duties on the mound for the Bulldogs, Barker struck out five in three innings. Godsey put away six in his three frames. COLUMBIA FALLS — After clinching the North division Friday night, Columbia Falls made short work of Troy Saturday. Neither team could muster any offense in the first inning, but the Wildcats got rolling in the second to the tune of four runs — including a pair coming home on passed balls. Columbia Falls added two more in the third before busting the game open in the fourth with eight runs. Cooper Ross, Wyatt Dodson and Reggie Sapa drove in runs with doubles during the frame as the Wildcats went up 14-0. Ross and Aidyn Williams split duties on the mound with Ross striking out eight in four innings of work. Williams fanned three in one inning.
