BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Bismarck landfill is expanding. After a year of construction, cell two is now taking in garbage. Cell one was at its limit.

The pit is 1,080 feet long by 370 feet wide and 65 feet deep. Cell two should not fill up for another five to seven years before a new cell needs to be dug.
