FARGO — North Dakota State scored a big win in Iowa last Wednesday when the Bison baseball team beat the Hawkeyes 21-14 in Iowa City.

The football team racked up another win in the Hawkeye State this morning by picking up its second commitment for the Class of 2025 in Tiffin, Iowa's Brody Clubb.

Clubb is a 6-foot-3, 240 pound defensive end who plays at Clear Creek Amana High School. Tiffin is about 25 minutes south of Cedar Rapids.

Clubb was a highly sought after prospect, scoring an offer from Iowa State last June. That was followed by offers from Army, the University of North Dakota, Northern Iowa, South Dakota and Western Illinois.

He may have been more in demand had Clubb played a full 2023 season. He was injured early in the year, suffering a torn labrum in September and had to miss the rest of the season.

Clubb posted on social media after the injury: "I am sad to say that due to an injury, week three was the last of my junior season. I will be having surgery on a torn labrum in my left shoulder and will miss the remainder of our games."

Clubb returned to play for his high school basketball team in late January.

Clubb finished with 16 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. His sophmore year in 2022 is when he started to stand out. He finished third on his team in tackles with 44, two sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss.

NDSU first offered Clubb on March 22.

Clubb joins Annandale (Minn.)'s Gavin Wang as commits for the Class of 2025 for NDSU . Clubb is the first commit out of the state of Iowa in two years for NDSU, the most recent was Gannon Williams in the Class of 2022. Williams from Marshalltown, is entering his redshirt sophomore year with the Bison.
