The Topeka Scarecrows will be one of the newest teams to enter the FPHL next Fall, and during their expansion draft the team would select two players off the Binghamton Black Bears roster. Topeka announced Wednesday night they have selected Binghamton Black Bears forwards Donald Olivieri and Christopher Mott. Olivieri is coming off his third season with Binghamton and it would be a productive one to say the least. The FPHL veteran would average over a point per game with 20 goals and 24 assists in only 35 games played. The Philadelphia, PA native would also spend parts of his career in the SPHL. Olivieri would be crucial in the Black Bears winning back to back FPHL Commissioner's Cup, tallying six goals and nine assists in 15 games played over the last two postseasons. Mott would be one of the signings last summer to join the Black Bears from Morrisville State University. In his rookie season he would play in 40 games during the regular season for Binghamton tallying 15 goals and 13 assists. Mott would also add one goal in the playoffs in game two of the Empire Division final against Port Huron. These selections do not guarantee that Olivieri or Mott will play for the Scarecrows, however their contract rights are now owned by Topeka. Binghamton would have to be involved in a trade to get their rights back.
