The brewer of Blue Moon Beer launches three THC infused beers, giving people the intoxication without the hangover. Ceria Beverages will pour into the medical and recreational markets.

Keith Villa worked at Colorado-based MillerCoors for 32 years and invented the companies staple beer, Blue Moon. The beer gained popularity for its drinkability and for propelling MillerCoors into the craft beer market. But Keith's brewing and tapping into new markets didn't stop with his tenure at the beer giant. Shortly after leaving the company Keith has rolled out his newest beverage, THC infused beer.

While the drinks will only be available in Colorado following the release of the product, with more states adopting medical and recreational marijuana laws, the fact that a THC beer is hitting the market could be great news for patients and recreational users who want the taste of beer without the alcohol, and wanting to feel the THC infused beers intoxicating effects. THC Infused Beer Based in Colorado, Ceria Beverages will be pouring THC infused beers within the state, giving medical and recreational patients a chance to drink a non-alcoholic beer while still enjoying the taste and benefits from the THC infused beer.  Marijuana-infused drinks are nothing new in medical and recreational markets, but the effects vary for each user and for each user.  But with Villa's new beverages the drinks will affect users like a typical, alcoholic beer.  This will give users, or drinkers, much more control, and an overall more pleasant experience. In an article with USA Today, speaking about his THC infused beer Villa states,
"[there are] many current offerings — including beverages and edibles, [but they] don’t give consumers enough awareness of the potency of the products...Ceria’s offerings will be clearly labeled with the THC content, similarly to how beer labels list alcohol content levels."
Making the packaging clearly labeled and controlling the potency and delivery is what will set the Ceria's THC infused beers apart from other marijuana-infused drinks. It is Villas goal to offer, "Three kinds of drinks to infuse...a light beer, a wheat beer, and something heavier, like an Imperial or barrel-aged stout."  The THC infused beers will be tasty for a variety of palates, and Villa is hoping it will reach a variety of markets as well.

This breakthrough could change the edible and beverage market in Colorado and with Maryland's medical marijuana program could you see a THC infused beer in your state? Does a THC beer appeal to you?  Drop a line in the comments and let us know what you think.
