A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Washington County, Virginia.

The notice is in effect for connections on Poor Valley Rd between 30486 & 32513, Hunter Dr, Althea Rd, Possum Hollow Rd, Adrian Ln & Rosebud Ln. Those areas are expected to have an interruption of water service on Wednesday until 5 p.m. Once these areas receive water again, water should be boiled.

Officials said the shutdown is necessary to repair a fire hydrant isolation valve, which will cause the depressurization of the water main.
