WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Downtown Wichita is celebrating the hosting of the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships' First and Second Rounds by transforming storefronts into basketball inspired art installations.

Funded by a grant from the City of Wichita, this project stems from a public call for artists back in December 2024. The installations will be on display from March 15 – April 7, inviting residents and visitors to experience the city through the lens of art and basketball.

On March 21, there will be a free crafting workshop at Fan Fest in Naftzger Park from 3 p.m - 6 p.m lead by Downtown Wichita and the artists, followed by a public walking tour that will begin at 509 E. Douglas Ave. at 7 p.m.
