More regularly scheduled flights between Lancaster Airport and Orlando, Florida, will be available for travelers this summer. However, Breeze Airways’ website shows tickets will cost significantly more than the airline’s existing Lancaster-Orlando flights. Starting June 6, Lancaster-area passengers will be able to fly to and from Orlando on Mondays and Fridays. The Thursday and Sunday flights that have been offered since Breeze began serving Lancaster in October will continue as well. Ed Foster, executive director of Lancaster Airport Authority, said in an announcement of the expansion that demand for flights to and from Orlando has been strong. “I am very happy to continue to partner with Breeze to increase their service and offer the flying public additional opportunities to travel and use their local airport,” Foster said. Monday and Friday flights will be available through the summer, according to Breeze, which didn’t specify an end date. Breeze’s website is currently showing the flights running through Sept. 1. According to Breeze’s website, the new flights are scheduled to depart Orlando at 7 a.m., arrive in Lancaster at 9:34 a.m., and depart Lancaster at 10:14 a.m. – which is 30 minutes earlier than the Thursday and Sunday flights. Currently, the website shows round-trip tickets on the Monday-Friday flights starting at $798. Round-trip tickets for the same flight on a Thursday or Sunday start at $98, and increase with demand.
