Less than two weeks after Brightline unveiled a new pass program for riders, the Miami-based rail line has cut the prices of some categories after the company received “guest feedback.” Brightline announced the price cuts late last Friday after rolling out the program just 10 days earlier to replace the one it retired in 2024 . The new program offers travelers passes that cover 10, 20 or 40 rides for travel among its five South Florida stops at West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura and Miami. Only a 10-ride pass was offered for trips between South Florida and its Central Florida station at Orlando International Airport. The passes can be used to earn points towards Brightline Rewards, the railroad’s new loyalty program that was launched in March. The company on Monday did not immediately respond to a question about whether passengers outright rejected the original pricing schedule, which ranged from $239 for 10-ride passes between Miami and Fort Lauderdale (including Aventura), to $899 for 40-ride passes between West Palm Beach and Miami. The 10-ride pass for Orlando trips, the only pass offered for travel between South and Central Florida, remains unchanged at $799. Brightline said in its statement last Friday that the number of available passes for sale is limited, “while supplies last.” They are non-transferable and can be used only by the purchaser. “South Florida passes are valid up to 30 days from purchase and the Orlando pass up to 60 days from purchase — or until all rides are used, whichever comes first,” the statement said. “Passholders can book up to seven days prior to departure for rides in South Florida and up to 60 days prior for rides including Orlando.” The railroad also said riders can get unlimited parking at its South Florida stations at a 50% reduced summer monthly rate of $62.50 via a monthly parking pass through Aug. 15.
