The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had quite the run of playcallers in recent years and have lost them in back to back seasons.

Not because they are bad at their jobs, but by quite the opposite effect. Both Dave Canales and Liam Coen are now head coaches in the NFL with the Panthers and Jaguars, respectively, and now they have a new playmaker for the third straight year. The latest promotion goes to the fast-rising Josh Grizzard, who ESPN's Benjamin Solak highlighted in his preview piece , as we are now less than 100 days away from kicking off the NFL season.

Solak writes, "Grizzard has had a quick rise in the NFL coaching ranks; he was first an offensive quality control coach with the Dolphins in 2017 and had only two years as a wide receivers coach in Miami before he got the job with the Bucs last season. At just 34 years old, and with experience under Mike McDaniel and Coen, it's fair to have "next big thing" suspicions around Grizzard. If he can keep the train chugging from last season, the Bucs should have a top-10 offense again."

Grizzard, having the loaded offense of the Bucs, isn't a bad unit to have in a debut coaching role.

Having to call plays for Baker Mayfield as he throws to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Emeka Egbuka, and Jalen McMillan will be fun for him. Dare I say, easy. But, this offense needs to lead the way while the defense works on finding itself before a potentially long late-season run.
