CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Deschutes County Sheriff's deputies arrested an Idaho mother in Oregon for crossing state lines and kidnapping her three kids Sunday.

They found Leah Marie Sharp around 7:30 a.m. while patrolling an area around a campground in Sisters, Oregon.

A deputy on routine patrol reported seeing a campsite set up by Sharp, along with her 4-year-old son, 4-year-old daughter, and 7-year-old daughter.

She was wanted out of Caldwell for three counts of custodial interference and three counts of kidnapping and the kids were listed as missing and endangered.

The sheriff said the deputy watched the campsite until several other deputies showed up to help arrest Sharp, without incident, and the kids were unharmed.

The Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division took custody of the missing children and made arrangements for transport back to Idaho.

Sharp is now in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Adult jail.
