CODY, Wyo. - On May 1st, 2024, the Park County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of a one vehicle rollover crash with an individual partially pinned under the vehicle in the 500 block of County Road 2AB.

Deputies were dispatched along with Cody Fire Department, Cody Regional Health EMS and the Wyoming State Troopers to respond. Upon arrival, Deputies found a male subject underneath his 2002 Chevy Suburban with the vehicle resting on his head and upper torso. The driver, Michael Levario age 27 was conscious and talking to first responders and numerous members of the public who were able to quickly lift the vehicle up and remove him from under the vehicle. Mr. Levario was stabilized and transported via CRH EMS to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Alcohol and controlled substance use are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash and it is still under active investigation. Our thanks to everyone involved with the crash and subsequent rescue of the driver as this could have had a very different outcome.
