The car heads right for the crowd and doesn't stop, hitting two people and sending them to the hospital. Then, the driver takes off.

It was a crazy scene in downtown Denver early Sunday morning when a driver slammed into two pedestrians near Coors Field. The driver is being searched for by police, and the disturbing incident was caught on video.

Video from the scene shows a silver sedan slamming into two people at the corner of 20th and Market Streets around 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 25. A fight had broken out in the area and the car, a silver Chevrolet model, is seen in the video stopped near the area. Then, suddenly, the driver guns it and hits two people, who were sent sprawling through the air then slammed to the ground.

Both were taken for medical treatment and thankfully no one was seriously injured.

The driver sped away after the crash, though onlookers were screaming and grabbing at the car trying to open the door and stop the driver. The video was shared online by bystanders and the Denver Police Department is currently investigating the incident and trying to figure out what led to the fight and to the driver attacking the crowd with the car. Anyone with information about what happened Sunday morning is asked to call police at 720-913-7867.

You can watch the video below or on Facebook, but be prepared, it contains graphic imagery and rough language.

This is not the kind of thing we want to hear about here in Denver. We are grateful no one was seriously injured and hope the driver is found soon to answer for this behavior.

Did you happen to be in the area when this occurred on Sunday? Let us know in the comments what you think and what can be possibly done to prevent it from happening again. Stay safe out there, Denver!

This is an ongoing investigation and this article will be updated as more information is released!
