It's a day every year that comic book fans look forward to, with the annual holiday's belief that there is a comic book out there that every single person will love. It's typically celebrated on the first Saturday in May, and this year, that happens to be tomorrow, May 6. Fans, new and old, come together to visit their local comic book shops and to be part of a community that has been alienated in the past. Discover new comics, make lifelong friends, and feel like part of a group of individuals with the same passion. Large comic book publishers like DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Dark Horse Comics, IDW Publishing and Image Comics all give out free comics for fans to enjoy at participating comic book shops across the country. Whether you're a fan of superhero comics, film and television shows, or video games, there's something for everyone. Free Comic Book day also gives those diehard fans a chance to cosplay as their favorite characters and let their geek flags fly.
