Charles W “Chuck” Fries, 70, of Chambersburg, passed away at his home on Friday morning, May 3rd, 2024.

Born October 14, 1953 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Edward Francis and Margaret Virginia Lugenbeel Fries.

Chuck was a 1971 graduate of CASHS. He continued his education at the Radio Electronics Television School in Baltimore, MD.

He was employed at the WPGH channel 53 television station out of Pittsburgh for a number of years, as an audio engineer for the company. He then came back home to Chambersburg, where he worked as a radio disc jockey for Mix 95.1 radio station.

Chuck was “born to blab” and loved talking with people and was a natural as a radio host. He also worked at the Inn at Penn National Golf Course as a handyman. He was an avid golfer.

Chuck is survived by his siblings, Edward F. Fries of South Park Twp, PA, Kenneth M. Fries of Waynesboro, and Marguerite L. Fries of Chambersburg.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center , Chambersburg.
