EAST LANSING -- The 2025 softball season culminated in four champions lifting up the trophy on the Michigan State campus on Saturday. Saline, Richmond, Grass Lake and Mendon capped off the season at the top with their wins at Secchia Stadium. In case you missed any of the coverage, here is everything that happened on the softball diamond this weekend.
DIVISION 1
Saline claimed its first state title with a win over South Lyon.
DIVISION 2
Katie Shuboy’s dominance in the circle carried Richmond over Paw Paw.
DIVISION 3
Grass Lake won its first title after a wild seventh inning against Clare. Grass Lake scored its
500th run of the season in the semifinal win over Algonac while
Clare came up with clutch hitting to beat Ravenna.
DIVISION 4
Mendon snapped USA’s five-year run, bringing the
Patriots dynasty to a close.
