If you’re passionate about human rights and the organizations in Washington, D.C., that work to support, advocate, and promote human rights domestically and abroad, now is your time to come out and stand in solidarity with them. The festival will bring together a large diversity of human rights organizations and individuals to discuss current challenges, share ideas, and advance the cause. Expect this festival to be a lot more focused than other festivals you may have attended in the past. The Human Rights Festival has a mission, and at times it will resemble a march or a summit for the promotion of human rights.
The event will be an
“all-day family-friendly celebration that includes an array of artists and performers, dynamic speakers, children's activities and world-class musicians who are a direct reflection of the diversity that makes up our truly unique nation.”You’ll have the opportunity to meet representatives from your favorite nonprofits, advocacy firms, and others. There will also be a chance to sign up to volunteer or give a donation to either the festival organizers or the represented organizations -- or both!
