Whether you plan to celebrate all day long or just pop in for a few pints in the evening, you’ll get your fill at one of these three D.C. Irish pubs.

If you’re looking to get your Irish on this March 17, these popular bars—all offering Irish cuisine, music, beers, and whiskey—will hit the spot. Do a crawl of these D.C. Irish pubs or pick a favorite, stake out your seat, and hunker down to celebrate what is arguably the biggest party day of the year! Sláinte!

1. Fadó

808 Seventh St. NW, Washington, D.C.

Right near Chinatown, Fadó is a bustling hotspot known for its fish and chips (they use cod that’s sustainably-caught in Iceland) and its wide beer and whiskey selection. Expect Irish accents, a raucous crowd, and Irish music all day long on March 17. Check out everything they have planned on their website!

2. The Dubliner D.C.

520 N. Capitol St. NW, Washington, D.C.

This family-owned D.C. Irish pub was established in Capitol Hill back in 1974 and is located at the bottom of The Phoenix Park Hotel. Every night of the week there’s live entertainment, and of the many libations offered there, The Dubliner features its own exclusive amber ale and its own whiskey, made in a historic distillery in Ireland. Soak up those pints with a beef stew while you’re there!

3. Nanny O'Briens Irish Pub

3319 Connecticut Ave., NW, Washington, D.C.

Nanny O’Briens touts itself as a “neighborhood pub,” and it’s just that. Located in Cleveland Park, it’s small, casual, affordable, and bound to be hopping on St. Paddy’s Day! You won’t find a ton of Irish menu items other than some staples like fish and chips and beef stew, but there’s plenty of bar food to choose from (including their legendary wings). Live music and a friendly staff are guaranteed!
