Ten-time Pro Bowl and four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce is already a legend in Kansas City.

The three-time Super Bowl champion will turn 36 on Oct. 5 and is at the tail end of the twilight of his career.

But as he enters his 13th season in the NFL , is there a chance he can be better than in previous years?

Maybe.

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported on Saturday that Kelce has lost some weight and slimmed down at least 25 pounds.

"He will debut a bit of a slimmer look. He's told people close to him that he's lost about 25 pounds this offseason," Fowler said . "He played a little heavier in 2024; that was sort of a thing. He vowed to change it, and he has."

This is all on the heels of speculation that Kelce may retire after the Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX a few short months ago. But Kelce squashed those rumors quickly.

"I’m coming back, for sure," Kelce said at the time . "I’m going to try to get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that."

And now it appears he's coming back better than ever.

Last season was the second straight season Kelce's numbers declined. After posting 1,138 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2022, he managed just 984 yards and five touchdowns in 2023. Last year, those numbers dropped to 823 yards and three scores with one more game played than the year before.

But 2025 could be different, especially with the taste of an embarrassing Super Bowl defeat still lingering.
