The Wichita Falls Transfer Station will close to the public on March 17 and stay closed for an undetermined period of time.

The city said in a Facebook post on Monday that repair work on the station will take "a few months."

The post said the closure is necessary to repair the walls and the floor.

The transfer station on Lawrence Road is a repository where residents can bring garbage that won't fit into dumpsters.
