It's better late than never! Denver's annual food truck event returns on August 12.

If you're craving some of the best local food truck flavors in Denver, Civic Center EATS is finally returning on August 12. The annual event typically begins in May and features about 20 trucks at once, so it's better late than never to dine on your food truck faves. Event organizers worked all summer to find a way to bring back this beloved summer tradition.

This year, the event will feature five different trucks serving up food every Wednesday and Thursday at the Central Promenade. The lineup will continually rotate through October 15, so local foodies can come back again and again for a different culinary experience each time.

The trucks will be open for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Event organizers also announced several precautions and guidelines in place due to the coronavirus pandemic. Located on the southwest side of the park, the trucks will have entrance and exit signs to create one-way traffic flow and one section for "previewing" food truck menus and another for ordering. Physically-distanced circles on the lawn will designate areas customers can sit and enjoy their food. 

Civic Center EATS will also have an online ordering and menu mechanism for on-the-go patrons and shorter wait times. Stay up-to-date with their Facebook page, Civic Center EATS. Mark your calendars, because they plan to release the anticipated lineup of attending trucks on Friday, August 7, on their website. 

To help follow state guidelines, Civic Center EATS is asking customers to wear a mask unless eating or drinking and stay home if they feel sick.
