Clearwater police are investigating after a man’s body was found floating in Old Tampa Bay Saturday.

Detectives began an investigation Saturday morning after the body of Tony Alfonzo-Royce Walker, 38, of Clearwater was found in the water near the Cortland Bayside apartment complex, 19369 U.S. 19 N., according to the Clearwater Police Department. Walker’s body was discovered near mangroves that line the shore, police said.

The Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner was working to determine how Walker died.

No other information has been released.
