Baldwin Wallace University : Women’s Rugby student-athlete, Molly Cancian of Brunswick has been named a 2024 National Collegiate Rugby All-American making this her third All-American honor of her career. Cancian, a first year Leadership in Higher Education Graduate Student holding internships in BW’s LGBTQ+ Services and LaunchNET Entrepreneurship offices is a leader for the Yellow Jackets on and off the pitch. Cancian was one of five student-athletes chosen to represent the Ohio Valley Women’s Collegiate Rugby Conference Select Side Cardinals All-Star Team. Payton Aston, Molly Cancian, Maggie Moc, Allison Morgan, and Ava Wadley were selected to the All-Star Team, made up of players and coaches from Ohio and Indiana, representing universities that compete in the OVWCRC. Head Women’s Rugby Coach, Green also represented BW as an Assistant All-Star Coach. Cancian traveled to Atlanta, Georgia Jan. 25-26 to compete in the National Collegiate Rugby Women’s 7’s National Cup All-Star Tournament. The annual tournament took place at Silverbacks Park and hosted the best college rugby players in the United States while providing the five BW all-star players the opportunity to continue to hone their skills before the start of Baldwin Wallace’s spring 7’s rugby season. * Andrew Supers of Medina a graduate of Medina High School) is one of eight Baldwin Wallace University men’s wrestling student-athletes to be named to the 2024-25 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Team. Supers, who earns his second straight honor, was named to the first team. He is 33-4 on the season with nine pins, six technical falls and six major decisions. For his career, Supers is tied for 49th on the school’s all-time wins list with a record of 68-12. He has recorded 18 technical falls, 16 points and nine major decisions. *Marc Davis from Brunswick was one of three Baldwin Wallace Men’s Rugby student-athletes chosen to represent the Great Lakes Select Side Thunderbirds All-Star Team. Davis, Lander, and St. George were selected to the All-Star Team, made up of players and coaches from the Great Lakes Region, representing universities across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. They traveled to Atlanta, Georgia Jan. 17th-19th to compete in the National Collegiate Rugby Men’s National Cup All-Star Tournament. Nathan Zimmerman, of Brunswick, has been named to Merit University’s Fall 2024 Dean’s List . He is majoring in Computer Science.
