Colorado is pushing for new requirements on collective marijuana growing.
Just recently, a house committee voted 11-2 to allow a new statewide marijuana growing limitation of 12 plants per residential property. Currently, Colorado patients who grow medical marijuana are permitted to grow up to a maximum of 99 plants. This is the highest allowance for any state that has legalized marijuana. Not only does Colorado allow up to 99 plants to be grown, but it also allows recreational users to group their allotted 6 plants into large co-ops that are not tracked or taxed. For all of the Colorado growers, do not panic. The bill that was approved will still permit large-scale grows, you just can't do it in residential areas.
