Kick up your boots! The Colorado State Fair is coming to Pueblo from August 25 to September 4, and we've got your guide to the biggest event of the summer!
The Colorado State Fair has been around way before Colorado even became a state in 1876. Back in 1869, nearly 2,000 people came together in what is now Pueblo for a horse exhibition, and well ... the rest is history. This year, the fair will be running from August 25 to September 4 (Labor Day). Expect family-friendly attractions, musical entertainment, fun rodeo events, and all of the delicious food you can possibly imagine! Tickets for the fair can be purchased online. Guests will have to pay separately for gate admission, carnival admission, and concert admission (prices below). There will also be several beer and wine competitions throughout the fair, but they are only open to those 21 years of age and older. Coloring, baking, and even pet Olympic competitions will also be available! You can view the full list of special contests here.

When you're not jamming out to the incredible music offered or eating the yummy fair food, you can check out all of the carnival rides that will be sure to entertain and delight folks of all ages. There will also be several rodeo events, including wild horse races and bullfights. Plus, there will be a demolition derby and a monster truck tour!
