With more than 700 million users around the world, photo-sharing app Instagram has redefined photography and the way we share the snapshots of our lives.

So where do people use Instagram the most? What landmarks seem to inspire our amateur photography skills and social media sharing more than others? Thanks to Instagram, geotags, and BuzzFeed, we now know which places in each state were Instagrammed more than any other in 2017. And what's Colorado's landmark of choice? None other than Red Rocks Amphitheatre! [embed]https://www.instagram.com/p/BdRTFBHnijn/?tagged=redrocksamphitheater[/embed] I mean, it makes sense. You spend an exorbitant amount of money on concert tickets to see your favorite artist, only to hike up all those steps to your seats, all so you can sit in a natural rock amphitheater with a gorgeous view, listening to music under the Colorado sky ... You just can't help but snap pics and let everyone know where you are and what you're doing!
And even if you're there for a workout or to enjoy awe-inspiring scenery, you (of course) want to share your experience (and breathtaking view!) with everyone on social media. In fact, according to what we're seeing on Instagram, most Red Rocks-tagged posts are workout- and hiking-related! Here are some of our favorites ... California -- Disney's California Adventure Park Florida -- Disney's Magic Kingdom Hawaii -- Waikiki Beach Kansas -- University of Kansas New Mexico -- White Sands National Monument New York -- Times Square, New York City Texas -- San Antonio River Walk Utah -- Zion National Park Washington, D.C. -- The White House Wyoming -- Yellowstone National Park Read the full list (organized by state) here! So what do you think? Are you surprised that Red Rocks is the most-Instagrammed landmark in Colorado? What other places have inspired one of your Instagram posts? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
