RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC AG Alan Wilson says a Columbia man has been arrested in connection with the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Joshua Robert Perez, 35, of Columbia is accused of distributing and possessing files of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators say they received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Perez.

Perez was arrested on May 21, and charged with three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree; and five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree.

Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office made the arrest.
