GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A student was found with an airsoft gun on a Columbia Middle School bus on Wednesday morning. In a letter sent to parents, school officials say the school received a report that a student possibly had an airsoft gun and Columbia County School District Police was contacted. The South Carolina Association of Black School Educators honored Doctor Elisa Sanders-Pee as Principal of the Year. School officials say there were no threats made to the school, but the airsoft gun was passed around to several students on the bus. The student is being held accountable according to the code of conduct, the school says.
