Columbia Parks and Recreation is set to dedicate and open the Cosmo Bike Park on Thursday. The new bike park was funded by the voter approved Park Sales tax and donations from Frank W. Morris Memorial Trust, Columbia Missouri Trail Association and Veterans United Foundation. The bike park features an asphalt pump track, mountain bike skills course, bike playground, cyclocross event space, shelter and parking lot. The park also serves as the trailhead for Rhett’s Run Mountain Bike Trail. The Cosmo Bike Park is located in the northeast area of Cosmo Park, at 1910 Parkside Drive. The ceremony to mark the dedication of the park will be held at 5 p.m., followed by a program at 5:20 p.m. Parks and Recreation asks attendees to park at the nearby Antimi Sports Complex, 1615 W. Business Loop 70.
