COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police and the Columbia-Richland Fire Department are on the scene in
the 1300 block of Calhoun Street , after an emergency call about a suspicious package. According to CPD, emergency dispatchers received a 911 call from a citizen shortly after 11:30 a.m. regarding a suspicious package inside a vehicle on Calhoun Street. Officers are continuing to investigate and
pedestrians and drivers are asked to avoid the area. Additionally, officers have
temporarily closed off the 1300 block of Calhoun Street between Bull, and Main Streets in an abundance of caution. ABC Columbia will keep you updated as information becomes available.
