Columbia Utilities is set to start disconnecting customers with outstanding balances as temperatures rise in mid-Missouri, the city announced Wednesday. Columbia Utilities does not disconnect electric customers when forecasts call for temperatures to drop below 32 degrees during winter and above 95 degrees in the summer in a 24-hour period. Last year, utility disconnects resumed mid-March. To make debit or credit payments, you can visit Pay.CoMo.gov , call 573-874-7694, or visit city hall, 701 E. Broadway, to pay with cash, check or money order.
