Here's what you need to know about concessions changes at Coors Field this season.
On Thursday, April 1, Coors Field opened at about 42% capacity for the Rockies' Opening Day game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. While there was a sense of normalcy to be back in the stands, you'll notice a few changes if you plan on attending a game this year.
To reflect COVID-19 safety protocols, Coors Field changed the way concessions are operating, so you won't be eating and drinking throughout the nine innings quite the same way as pre-pandemic times.
Here's what you need to know about concessions changes at Coors Field this season:
- Vendors are not selling snacks and drinks in the stands.
- No sunflower seeds or shelled nuts are allowed.
- Single-size servings of food and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted.
- Sealed plastic bottled and empty reusable cups are allowed but will be carried through metal detectors.
- All concession stands are open but will be cashless. Only credit cards are accepted.
- Concession lines are limited and spaced out.
- Soda is sold in cups with lids and straws.
- Condiments are only available in single-use packets upon purchase.
- There are no portable tables and chairs in the common areas, and fans must eat in their seats.
- There is no access to drink rails, including the Rooftop.
- Standing room areas, including the Rooftop, are not open.
- The Mountain Ranch Bar & Grill, Mountain Ranch Club, and Toyota Land Cruiser Club are open for dining and follow the state's restaurant protocols.
