COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The National Weather Service out of Columbia has confirmed that storms Sunday morning spawned an EF1 tornado on the northern side of Lake Murray into Chapin. Estimated peak winds were around 90 MPH. It was on the ground for 5.83 miles and had a width around 125 yards. There were reports of tree damage near Lake Estate Dr in Chapin. The Timberlake community also had reports of tree damage from the tornado. It continued to track northeast before dissipating near Indian Cove Rd.
