WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - We are waking up to showers and storms across most of Kansas and the activity will continue through midday before ending this afternoon. While pockets of heavy rain and lightning are likely, severe weather is not expected. Like Tuesday, temperatures will be below normal with highs mostly in the middle to upper 60s. After a few showers/storms tonight, dry weather with near normal conditions is on tap for Thursday and Friday. Wake-up temperatures in the 50s will be followed by afternoon highs in the lower to middle 70s underneath mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. The nice weather will last through the weekend. Morning temperatures mostly in the 40s will be replaced by highs in the lower to middle 70s underneath mostly sunny skies. Light winds on Saturday may get a little gusty on Sunday. Looking ahead… after a gorgeous weekend, our weather pattern is expected turn active again early next week.
