WASHINGTON (7News) — Rain this morning in the D.C. area is expected to end during the early afternoon. Clouds will stick around through the evening with some clearing before sunset.

High temperatures should climb closer to average in the low 70s.

Tomorrow begins an active weather pattern around the Mid-Atlantic, as repeat storm chances during the evening hours continue through the work week.

Not all spots will see rain and storms as coverage is expected to be isolated on Monday and Tuesday. Thursday may be the better day for more scattered storms, some of which may be strong with gusty winds.

Highs will stay in the 80s this week with Wednesday being the warmest day close to 90 degrees.
