Submit your news via this online form.A new restaurant is coming to Dallas’ Design District. Chicago-based Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is opening a new concept at 1444 Oak Lawn. The restaurant will mark the concept’s first location in the Dallas market. The restaurant will be one part of a larger redevelopment of The Seam, a future retail and dining destination slated to open next year. Asana Partners is spearheading the multimillion-dollar redevelopment of The Seam, which will include 160,000 square feet of restaurant, retail, and wellness outlets.Batbox, which is trying to become the Topgolf of baseball, is planning to open its first location in Addison by the end of August. The 13,000-square-foot venue will house Batbox’s immersive baseball simulator bays, as well as a full sports bar.AT&T is planning to lease 186,000 square feet across seven floors at the Lakeside Boulevard Tower property at 2221 Lakeside Blvd. in Richardson. The site will host a call center office for AT&T as part of a 12-year lease agreement. Provident Realty Advisors bought the Lakeside campus in November, and the company is working with the City of Richardson on a $15.8 million investment for building improvements. Originally built as an 807,354-square-foot tower and lab building for Nortel, the site currently houses multiple tenants, including RealPage. Barnes & Noble is leasing 20,388 square feet of space in The Plaza at Rockwall, located at 1015 E. IH-30. Barnes & Noble was represented by Segovia Partners in securing the lease. The landlord, CTO Realty Growth, was represented by Gretchen Miller and Emilie Paulson of Weitzman. The Lexington Village retail center in Frisco has new ownership. Centergy Retail has sold the 101,284-square-foot grocery-anchored center to an undisclosed buyer. CBRE’s Jim Batjer, Chris Cozby, Harrison Tye, and Grace Moses arranged the transaction on behalf of the seller. The center was originally created as the retail component for a $2 billion master-planned mixed-use community on the Brinkmann Ranch land in Frisco. Plans for the 600-acre development include 2,500 single-family homes and 2,200 multifamily units. The newly established Dallas Community Land Trust has found its leader in Executive Director Ossie Kendrix. The nonprofit is focused on forwarding affordable housing efforts by acquiring and holding land in trust and allowing individuals to own the homes built on the land at a low cost. Kendrix’s career includes a recent stint as fundraising director with TREC Community Investors, the nonprofit force of TREC (The Real Estate Council). The Statler in Downtown Dallas’ has a new director of sales and marketing. Melissa Egan previously held sales leadership roles with a variety of brands, including Sonesta, Marriott, Renaissance, and Sheraton. While at the Dallas Marriott Suites, she led the hotel to exceed budget and revenue generation goals. The Statler is a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.
