RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A Delta flight from New York to Florida was diverted to RDU International Airport where it landed safely on Saturday afternoon, officials said. The flight, Delta 2090, was headed from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York to Orlando, Florida. The jet, an Airbus A321, left JFK at 11:41 p.m. and was due at Orlando at 2:30 p.m. The Delta Airbus was over eastern North Carolina approaching the Jacksonville area at 32,000 feet when it turned northwest to the Raleigh area and descended to 23,000 feet within about 3 minutes, Flight Aware data indicated.
